Skyview School Counseling Vision Statement
We believe that Skyview High School students are high-achieving learners who will graduate college/career-ready prepared to meet the challenges and high expectations of the 21st century.  By completing a rigorous comprehensive school counseling curriculum focusing on the domains of academic, career, and social/emotional, a foundation for lifelong learners and productive citizens is built.

Skyview School Counseling Belief Statement
  • We believe all students: have dignity, worth and potential can succeed, graduate and pursue post-secondary training are active participants in their individualized academic goals and post-secondary goals  
  • We believe our school counseling program: is comprehensive, developmental and central to the school and district mission should be delivered to all students will empower all students
  • We believe school counselors should: advocate for students by promoting a safe and healthy school culture   possess expertise and specialized training to meet students needs build positive relationships with staff, students, parents and the community model and encourage resiliency and self-confidence   engage in professional training abide by ASCA ethical standards

Skyview School Counseling Mission
The mission of Skyview High School’s Counseling Program is to provide students comprehensive services that support academic, career and social/emotional growth. By building community partnerships and providing a safe school climate, the counseling program emphasizes equity and access for all students to become responsible citizens who are resilient, critical thinkers and will lead as global citizens for systemic change.
