Valedictorian Requirements

1. Honors and AP classes are weighted.  This means that those classes will be awarded an extra point; in the weighted system, an A= 5, a B = 4, and a C = 3. D and F   grades will remain D’s and F’s.
2. In order to maintain a level playing field, all students vying for valedictorian must earn at least 24 credits.
3. After 8 semesters, the senior with the highest cum. weighted GPA will be Valedictorian.

4. A district committee will determine future classes that are eligible for weighted grades.
